What’s Not Included
To keep pricing honest and predictable, a few things fall outside the monthly plan:
- Major redesigns or new feature development (quoted as custom projects)
- Significant content rewrites or new page creation beyond your monthly allowance
- Recovery from issues caused by third parties (hacks on external systems, registrar mistakes, etc.) — though we’ll help you navigate them
- Hosting fees (hosting is a separate line item; we can manage your existing host or provide our own)
Anything outside the plan is quoted separately before work begins — no surprise invoices.
Taking Over an Existing Site
If you’re not already a Dot832 client, we’ll start with a short onboarding:
1. Site Audit
We review your site’s current state — WordPress version, plugins, theme, hosting, security posture, and any obvious issues. The audit is a one-time fee, billed separately.
2. Cleanup
Before we take over ongoing maintenance, we address urgent issues: outdated WordPress core, abandoned plugins, missing SSL, exposed vulnerabilities. Cleanup is quoted based on what we find.
3. Handover
We take over credentials, set up monitoring and backups, and begin your monthly plan. You get a point of contact and a clear understanding of what we’re managing.
Some sites are in rough enough shape that a rebuild costs less than an ongoing cleanup. If that’s the case, we’ll tell you honestly and scope a Starter Kit or custom project instead.
