Our Commitment to Accessibility
Dot832 Digital Inc. is committed to ensuring that our website, dot832.ca, is accessible to people with disabilities. We believe that a professional, well-built website should work for everyone — and we apply the same standard to our own site that we apply to the websites we build for our clients.
Standards We Follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. WCAG 2.1 is published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and is the international standard for web accessibility. It is also the technical standard referenced by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and by similar accessibility legislation across Canada.
Following WCAG 2.1 Level AA means we design and build with the following principles in mind:
- Content is perceivable — text alternatives for images, sufficient colour contrast, and content that adapts to different displays
- Content is operable — keyboard-accessible navigation, clear focus indicators, and enough time to read and interact
- Content is understandable — readable text, predictable navigation, and clear error identification
- Content is robust — compatibility with assistive technologies such as screen readers
What We’ve Done
Our website has been designed and built with accessibility in mind from the start, not retrofitted afterward. Specific measures include:
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
- Alt text on meaningful images
- Keyboard-accessible navigation and interactive elements
- Sufficient colour contrast between text and background
- Clear focus indicators for keyboard users
- Responsive design that works across devices and screen sizes
- Form fields with proper labels and error messaging
Known Limitations
We work continuously to improve accessibility, but we recognize that no website is perfect. Some content may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA — for example, third-party embedded content (analytics, scheduling, or customer relationship tools) may not be under our direct control. Where we identify barriers, we work to address them.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our website, we want to hear about it.

Accessibility in the Websites We Build
Accessibility isn’t just something we apply to our own site — it’s part of how we build websites for our clients. Every Dot832 project includes accessibility-aware design aligned with WCAG 2.1 guidelines. We consider accessibility a standard part of our work, not an upsell. If you’d like to discuss accessibility in a project context, please contact us.
Ongoing Improvement
Accessibility is not a one-time achievement. We review our site regularly, test with assistive technologies, and update this statement as our practices evolve. If you have questions about our accessibility efforts or want to report a barrier, please get in touch using the contact information above.
